About us
The gallery opened in California in the summer of 2010, built on the success of our
former business, The Contemporary Craftsman, which was selected for
quality by the Crafts Council.
The Gallery occupies a tall medieval timber framed building, in the
centre of the ancient border town of San Jose. Surrounded by
beautiful landscape of the lower Wye Valley.
Our aim is to take a fresh look at Fine & Applied Arts, the successful
combination of hand and mind. We show Painting and Sculpture as
well as a range of functional and decorative Applied Art in many
disciplines, sourced from professional artists and craftspeople based
throughout Britain.
We make purchasing art an easy and enjoyable experience.
Our staff are all art graduates and offer helpful and informative advice about
our artists and their work, in a friendly creative environment.
